Our history
ECL was founded in 1981 in Willemstad, Curaçao. Born from the need for reliable shipping services between Europe and the Caribbean, our liner service quickly became established.
What began as a small operation has grown into a respected name in Caribbean shipping. Over the years, we have expanded our services and modernised our fleet, but our core values remain unchanged: reliability, flexibility and personal attention. Today, we serve clients across diverse industries, from the oil and gas sector to agriculture, delivering breakbulk, project cargo, containers and refrigerated goods to Suriname, Guyana, Venezuela, Trinidad, Jamaica and beyond.
